The Legend of Zelda Cheats:
Save Your Bombs Against Dodongo To avoid losing bombs and possibly gain them when fighting Dodongo, wait until he is close, and throw 2 bombs into his mouth, timing it so the second bomb comes about 1/4 second after the first. If you've timed it right, Dodongo will slowly walk in place. You can then simply stab him with your sword to kill him. He will leave a bomb for you almost every time. If you're really good, you can also just use 1 bomb, and time it so that he walks into the blast just after you set the bomb.
Warp To The Last Level After you get all of the Triforce, go to the outside of Level 8 and blow your whistle. You go to the outside of Level 9.
Unlock The First Locked Door Walk into Level 1, walk out, then walk back in and the locked door will be open.
All Easy Enemies In screens with multiple enemy types, kill the weakest ones, leave the screen, and return. The strongest enemies will have changed into weaker ones.
Stop Enemy Regeneration Leave one enemy alive on a screen and it will prevent the rest from returning later.
Escape From Closed Rooms If you are stuck in a screen with no way out, and no way to lose a life, you can use this code to save your game (so you don't lose the items you have picked up), and start over from the starting screen of the game. Press Start on Controller 1 to call up the sub-screen. Then press Up and A on Controller 2 to bring up the "Continue, Save, Retry" screen. This is just like losing your last life!
Quest 2 Instant Access Enter your name as ZELDA to start playing the second quest straight away! |

Link's Adventure Cheats:
Kings Gift - By Nick There's a hidden red jar in the graveyard containing the King's Tomb.
Walk On Roof Of Palace Five - By Nick The way to do it is: go to the room where the falling wall is (the one made with falling blocks). Then when the wall is up, get on top of it, now use a jump spell and jump while you're in the air use a fairy spell and go up. You will see the falling screen (the one Link is falling), and you will land on the roof of the palace. From the rooftop you can do it again but you appear in the ground next to the palace and get stuck there like you've been buried alive!!!
Refill Magic and Life If you come across a Red Jar, make sure you milk out the rest of your magic bar with as many Life Spells to heal yourself, then take the Jar to get the most out of it. If you don't have enough magic to cast Life, but you're still not all that healthy, then highlight the Life Spell, take the Jar, and press SELECT like mad. You'll not only refill your life, but your magic will fill up almost to full!
Fight Up Close Don't always rely on your ability to throw your sword when you have full life. Especially late in the game, enemies won't be hurt by the thrown sword. Learn how to fight in close quarters.
Stunning and Recoil Remember that whenever you make contact with an enemy, you're going to recoil a bit. Keep this in mind, especially when fighting Skull Balls. Also, remember that if you hit an enemy, you'll stun it slightly, and you won't take damage from it while it's stunned.
Easy Game Replay If and when you beat the game, you'll have the ability to replay it. When you do so, notice that while all tangible items (palace items, Heart Containers, etc.) will be reset and you must find them again, you'll still know all the spells and have the same high level! At this point, the beginning of the game is a breeze. (Also, beating a palace pretty much means an extra life!)
Easy Game Technique If you want to experience this superiority without beating the game, then do this: Play the game as you would, but take care NOT to clear the palaces. Take the item, but don't beat the boss. Once you've found all the items, learned all spells, and developed your attributes to 8, start playing the game over again. It'll be so easy!
A Link to the Past Cheats:
Chris Houlihan's Room To get to Chris Houlihan's room, you must first go to the light world. Then press select and choose "Save & Quit." Open up your game again and choose to begin in the sanctuary. This part will now require speed. When you begin quickly use your sprint boots to go south. Then quickly run west a screen. Then run south until when you head east you will get to the castle. Once there run east until you nearly hit the castle. Then go south. Run east again, then north to where the secret passage in the bush is. Dash through the bush. If you get in it quickly enough you will enter Chris Houlihan's room which has lots of blue rupees and a sign that says the name of the room.
Skip Ahead You can get to places other than Death Mountain, and beat levels 1 and 3 in the Dark World..... and not have the Moon Pearl! Here's how it's done: Start a new game. Rescue Zelda, beat the Eastern Palace, and get the Pegasus Boots. Go to the Desert Palace and get the Power Glove. Go up Death Mountain, get the Magic Mirror, and step on the Warp Tile to get to the Dark World. Fall off the cliff at the mall break in the edge. Go right until you reach the edge which has 2 gate posts, but no fence. Jam yourself tightly against the underside of the top post and the edge of the cliff. Use the Magic Mirror. Charge your sword, very lightly tap right on the control pad, and let the portal pull you back. DON'T MOVE!!! Use the Mirror again right where you are. This time, charge your sword and move all the way off the portal. When you become solid again, keep you sword charged and move slowly back left onto the portal. You should be standing.....on the edge of the cliff! Hold right-and you will jump off the edge of the cliff! Walk right, you will see a break in the lava slightly above and to the right of a round rock. Jam yourself against the left side of this rock and move down to the next screen. *CAUTION* If you do not go down in the spot indicated, everything will get really glitchy and you will have to reset. Bummer! When you have crossed, graphics will be a little glitched, but you can fix this by using the mirror and letting it pull you back. Next, go to the Dark world Swamp Ruins. CAREFUL!! You are still a defenseless and easily killed bunny! Make sure you have a fairy in a bottle at this point. This is how I remember making this work, it may not be accurate. I'm not sure. Go to the big pond NW of the ruins. Go to the right side of it and go into the shallow water. Keep moving left until you hit the deep water. Now, move left by lightly tapping left. When you cross to the next screen, you should be walking on the water. If not, go back, move down a little, and go left again. When you are walking, get killed. Use up all your fairies getting killed. When "Game Over" comes up, choose Save and Continue. You should be in the Dark World (I Think-bad memory) and you should be human w/o the Moon Pearl!!! If this does not work, try variations until something works. Sorry I can't remember. When something works, you're off to beat the Dark World!
Invisible "Creature" I don't have THAT much info on this one, but I think that if you use the one of the Medallions (I'd suggest trying each one) in the "correct" section of the swamp you may notice that something is hit, and when you check the screen to see what was hit, you'll notice that it was nothing. This is the invisible "creature", with this, you can do anything you want at it (like place bombs at it). If nothing seems to happen, that must mean the "creature" "moved" to another place in the swamp. If you do find it, lucky you.
Access Any Castles (Requires turbo pad) Get the Pegasus Boots, go to Hyrule Castle. At the first bottomless pit that goes off-screen, use turbo on boots and holding the A button, walk off of ledge until you are off screen. From here you can access any castle or cave in both the Light and Dark Worlds. There are hazards though, you can get stuck and if you are in the Dark World for too long, (though you will not change into a rabbit, regardless of whether you have the Moon Pearl or not) you will die. But please explore because I have found the Ether Medallion in hidden rooms and you may also win the game without getting any Crystals or all Medallions.
Link's Awakening Cheats:
By Nichole Foss - Mini-Boss Dodongo Snakes With Fewer Bombs You can easily beat the snakes by blowing up one of them, then climb the stairs at the bottom left of the screen. Head down into the room with the red gels, and back up into the snake room. The second snake will be gone, and the warp point will have appeared. No damage results, and the game proceeds as normal.
By Valerie - CAUTION The trick (it's in fact, a bug, and a big one) is akin to the Screen Skipping, but much weirder and can possibly damage the cartridge (at least that's what happened to mine, it behaves now extremely weird, giving out a black rectangle instead of a Nintendo© logo at the start; the game is playable, but you'll see nothing except for Link himself and the moving objects. all the rest remains invisible. I didn't manage to play through much of it to see what happens further than the 1st dungeon). Here's how you do it: after defeating Moldrom (1st Nightmare boss), jump into the pit. Once you start to fall into the pit (side view) tap the Roc's feather button rapidly. If you manage to do that quick enough (tricky, but possible) you'll jump out of the pit into a strange environment. The new look of the dungeon is totally messed up as well as it's physics. Now you can walk through walls, drown in the staircase, and won't be able to use normal doors (if I remember this right). Once you walk through the last wall in the dungeon you'll find yourself in a different one as they all are connected, so you can move from dungeon to dungeon. So that's the fun. I personally was shocked when I accidentally managed it.
By Alexander Goth - New Music If you name Link MOYSE, then during the game you hear new music.
By Bigfoot - Boomerang Shield Once you have the special flying rooster that follows you around, you can do a little trick. Throw your boomerang then quickly pick up the rooster before the boomerang comes back. You'll float into the air, the boomerang will come back and spin around you in a circle, sorta like a little shield. Not that useful, but I thought it was pretty cool.
Screen Skipping If there is a screen with an obstacle that you cannot get past, go to the screen the opposite side of it. Then walk to the very edge of the screen but just as you are going to go to the screen with the obstacle on it press Select. If you do it right when you come off the map screen you should be past the obstacle. If you are stuck on a wall or something just restart.
Fun In The Shop There are two things that you can do in the shop which are very useful. To steal an item, run around the shopkeeper until he has his back turned and then make a bolt for the door. If he doesn't see you, you get the item and are sent on a guilt trip. Unfortunately, throughout the rest of the game everybody calls you Thief for the rest of the game, and if you ever set foot in the shop again the shopkeeper kills you. Another useful thing to do is, when you have enough money for the item you wish to buy, buy the item and when your money is being deducted press A, B, Select and Start. Select Save and Quit from the menu. When you come back into the game, you'll have the item you bought and the number of Rupees you had when you restarted!
Fun With Marin (No, not like that) Marin's a good person to have with you in Link's Awakening, for humour value anyway. To start, take her to the Trendy Game. She'll take the controls and pick up Mr. Trendy! Another funny thing is if you fall off a ledge. If you don't move for her, Marin lands on you, squashing you. Something that is more annoying than it is funny, is when she tells you off for breaking things like pots and attacking chickens. And if you, like me, enjoy attacking chickens so the Cucco Revenge Squad come after you, it is rather annoying.
Weirdness On The Island If you do the Screen Skipping trick at the edge of the map so you land in the water, you can get to the other side of the Island. If, while you are in the water, and you do the Screen Skipping trick just as you get to the other side you'll arrive on land. This is where it gets freaky. The chances are that you bought people from the last screen with you (like the kids outside the library for instance). Normally when you do the Screen Skipping trick that happens, but when you leave the screen all is fine. But, When I went to the next screen, four Armos Guards had been replaced by Telephones. I thought I might have been able to use them, but when I touched them they behaved like Armos and started moving, except that one of their animations was the Telephone and the other was a bird. So I got scared for the safety of my save game file. It didn't screw it up and everything is fine now. I don't recommend doing this as it might screw up your game, but if you are that type of gamer you might like what you find.
Second Ending Well, not so much a second ending, but if you managed to get though the game without dying, then Marin will be flying around rather than the seagull, which is why people assume it was a dream after all. Which it was.
Turn Hard Enemies Into Easy Ones Magic Powder is more useful than you might think. For instance, if you put it on an enemy, then with any luck you'll find that it turns into a weaker enemy.
Watch Your Step Before you mindlessly slash at a bush, try and pull it out of the ground. If it doesn't budge, then there is a hole beneath it.
Makeshift Missiles If you equip both the Bow and Bombs, then press both together and you can fire bombs across the screen. This is useful on many enemies. Somehow I don't think that in real life that the arrows could have lifted the bomb, however.
Different Overworld Music I have always found it slightly bewildering when Nintendo make something special happen in Zelda games when you name Link 'Zelda'. Surely it should happen when you call Link 'Link'? Well, never mind, but in this game if you name Link 'Zelda' then you get different overworld music.
Ocarina of Time Cheats:
Misc Secrets Get Ocarina Of Time Early If you are desperate to get your hands on the Ocarina Of Time, but you are stuck with the Kokiri Ocarina, then here's what to do. Do the above bottle trick, and have the Kokiri Ocarina the item that you replace it with. Now, go and learn any song, and you will get the Ocarina back. However, the ocarina you get is actually the Ocarina Of Time!
By Fingers McGraw - As Hard As Diamond I bet you think those handy bottles of yours are made of glass, eh? Well i can now tell you that you are wrong! When you fight Ganondorf and he's hurling those magic balls at you, instead of swinging your sword to knock them back, try using your bottle (not on the REALLY big ones though). It does just as well as your sword and even better coz you don't have to spend as long swinging it so you can be less accurate when timing your swing. And glass couldn't withstand a blow like that could it?
Get The Fisherman's Hat It takes a while to get it perfect, but in the fishing game, once you have the rod, cast your line at the Fisherman. If you get it, you can be fined (50 rupees) for trying to leave and you have to give it back.
Hidden Money In Hyrule there are a couple of places to receive secret rupees. The first is by jumping across the three islands in Kokiri Forest in order without falling off for 5 rupees (every little helps to get that Deku Shield!). You can do this once in both directions. Mary Bruehl has informed us that if you run up the chains of the gate to the Castle Market and jump off towards the bridge you'll be rewarded with a red rupee. Also, swimming the length of the Hyrule Castle moat can result in rupees, too.
Get The Sinking Lure And The Hylian Loach If you scour every single inch of the fishing room, especially in the grass around the edge and the crack with the stream, you can find the sinking lure. It is illegal, but the Fisherman doesn't find out. Now all you have to do is go fishing and you will find that the fish you catch are bigger. After a while, if you are lucky, you will catch the Hylian Loach, the biggest fish in the game.
Secret Areas In Circles Of Rock Whenever you see a circle of stones, stand in the middle and either plant a bomb there or play the Song of Storms. If one doesn't work then try the other. More often than not, a hole will appear leading you to a secret room.
Money For Spreading Bugs To get paid 150 rupees, catch some bugs. Go to the person in Hyrule Castle Town Market or Kakariko Village, depending on which time zone you are in, who wants you to sell him something using 'C'. Drop the bugs and catch one of them again. Go to the man and sell him the bug, and you'll get paid 50 rupees. Repeat this with the remaining two bugs to get another 100 rupees.
Get A Cheaper Hylian Shield As a child, speak to the guard at the gates of Kakariko Village (the gates at the bottom of Death Mountain) after showing him Zelda's Letter. Do this before you have bought the Hylian Shield in the Bazaar and you will get a discount when you finally buy it.
By Anthony - Get A Free Hylian Shield If you go to Dampe's Graveyard, pull open the grave with a row of flowers in front of it. There will be a small underground room with a chest which contains a Hylian Shield. Also, if you bomb the wall at the end of the room, it will lead to a fairy room so you can catch some more fairies.
Real Floating Signs However, this time it's not intended. Slash a sign to pieces, and then play Zelda's Lullaby. While it is rebuilding itself slash the bottom of it off. If you have done it right the sign should just be in the air, floating by itself.
Two Shields Are Better Than One As a kid, equip your Kokiri shield, and hold it out with R. Still holding R, press start and equip the Hyrulian shield. With any luck, you should now have two shields out, which protects your back and your front.
The Masks Aren't Actually Useless Well, most of them are, but the Mask Of Truth can let you talk to Gossip Stones, the Bunny Hood keeps Stalchilds away and the Skull Mask keeps Keese away.
Power Slide Warp to Sacred Forest Meadow. Run down the steps to the Moblin, keeping out of the way of his mallet. Now, just before he swings, get under his mallet, pause and change into your hover boots. Stand still and wait for him to hit you away. At first it looks like standard stuff but you'll find you don't stop and you end up under the tree branch you just warped to.
The Sage Of Towns Actually, if you have ever played Adventure Of Link, you may have noticed that the towns are all named after sages. In real life, however, the sages must have been named after the towns but it fits into the story quite nicely unlike most things in the Zelda universe.
Kokiri Graffiti Artist All over Link's tree there are little pictures that he must have etched into the bark. I'd love to know how he did it without his sword. Maybe he used his ears instead.
New Rules For Old Crimes If you do the earlier trick of taking the fisherman's hat off with the rod then have a look at the rules again. A new one says 'no casting at people'. And rightly so, I think your behaviour was disgraceful.
5? Bottles On The Wall This, unlike almost every other glitch and trick, is really helpful. If you have an unneeded item like the receipt for Big Goron's Sword, then go out with a bottle and swipe to catch something. Before you actually get it, press start and swap the bottle with something else. The item will be replaced by a bottle, and you can then keep anything in it. However, make sure you will never need the item again because once you have swapped it, it has gone forever.
Time Traveling.... Bugs And Fish If you leave some bugs and/or fish on the pedestal before you take the Master Sword out, when you arrive in the future you'll see that they have came with you. I didn't know fish could do that sort of thing.
Bigger Enemies There are three enemies in the game which have bigger brothers. At night in Hyrule Field, kill off a few waves of Stalchilds, and a big one will come. Destroy a few more waves and a really massive one will appear. Giant Leevers come out at night outside the Spirit Temple if you have killed enough younger ones. Your reward? A giant rupee. You know when you have played too much Zelda when, in Lake Hylia, you can pick off Guays from a distance. If you are really good, soon enough comes a really massive one that takes a few shots to bring down.
Patchwork Sky Well, if you didn't know, the sky in Hyrule is actually made of polygons. Because of the N64's limited power, you can, if you look carefully enough, see the seams between the polygons that make it up. Kinda spoils the illusion though, I loved to see the sunrise and sunset...
Pie Poe Eating Contest Well, there is no such contest, but if you have captures a Poe, it is possible to eat by drinking it like you would a potion. The downside is, however, that it normally hurts you and can even finish you off. Fun to drink ghosts all the same.
Scarecrow's Song In Credits The song in this case, however, would be the Scarecrow's Song. At the 'The End' screen, wait a little while and soon your Scarecrow Song, if you had one, will be played in 5 different instruments. If you didn't get the Scarecrow's Song, then...
Get The Scarecrow's Song On the shore of Lake Hylia (as Young Link), find two scarecrows in a patch of soil. Talk to them both and one of them will want to hear you play a song. Play a song that you are going to remember, and then as Adult Link go back and talk to him. Now, whenever Navi goes green and flies off to what looks like flat land, play the Scarecrow's Song and the scarecrow will pop up. To get to where he is, Hookshot over to him.
Brain Food In Gerudo's Fortress you can see skulls hanging off the walls. To get items from them shoot them with you bow.
Climbing Chests Well, okay, so you can't actually climb chests, but if you clear a room full of baddies and a chest appears, try to stand where it might materialize as Link ends up on top of it!
Animal Abuse If the chickens weren't bad enough, you can similarly take your anger out on Epona by firing arrows at her. She neighs in discomfort, but then I suppose you would if you had just had an arrow shot through you.
Milking Cows Hyrule Style Well, apparently, in Hyrule they have other ways of milking cows. Unlike here on Earth, where they pull at the cows udders, all Hyrulians have to do is play them Epona's Song! As a result, take an empty bottle to a cow and play it Epona's Song to get free milk!
Growing Fairies To get fairys easy, go to a beansprout as child Link and play the Song Of Storms. It will grow into the air and release 3 fairies. As an added bonus, if you are standing on the sprout as you play the song, the plant grows though you. Nice.
Keep Him Down When you are fighting Ganondorf, after hitting him with the Light Arrow, do the quick spin attack repeatedly to prevent him from getting back up! Although it should be noted that spin attacks aren't half as easy as their Majora's Mask counterparts to pull off, so might need a bit of practice.
Hyrule Mario Fan Club Yes, it seems the Royal Family are keen Mario players. In the castle courtyard where you meet Zelda for the first time, have a gander through the windows and you should spot a few paintings that you might recognize. There have been many instances where they appear in each other's games. Speaking of which...
Bowser Broach If you look around Malon's neck, then you'll see a broach in the image of Bowser, Mario's nemesis.
Treasure Hunter In Hyrule Castle Town Market there is a treasure game. To always win, use the Lens Of Truth to see what is in each chest. I, shamefully, didn't pick this up until a friend told me!
Alert The Cucco Attack Squad Yes, it worked in every other Zelda game and it works in this one too. If you attack a chicken over and over again, A swarm of cuccos will attack you. They only stop if you leave the area, or into a building. In Lon Lon Ranch, you can avoid the attack by sitting on Epona. It also looks quite good as they try and attack you.
Do Something Fun With A Gossip Stone Although they normally only tell you the time, a bit of fun can be had with gossip stones, and a bit of useless information can surface too. If you hit one with a Megaton Hammer, then it will flatten and spring back up. If you play either Zelda's Lullaby, Saria's Song or Epona's Song then it will release a fairy for you to catch. If you stick a bomb next to one or use a Bombchu on it then it will go red, blue, blue, and then blast off into space, as far as you can see. If you smack it with a sword while it is counting down then it will stay on that color. If you use Din's fire on one then it will squash inwards and get taller, and if you throw a boomerang at one it just giggles. If you are wearing The Mask Of Truth then go and speak to one because they give you advice and quirky information.
Last Stage Of Transformation If you think about it, a butterfly's life is absolutely amazing, how it can morph from one being into another. Well, it doesn't end there, as if you touch one with a Deku Stick then it changes into a fairy.
More Ocarina Notes If you are intent on making your own tunes, remember that if the A or C buttons don't give the desired note, you can change them by using the control stick and the Z and R buttons.
Loads Of Golden Skultullas To get as many Golden Skultullas as you would like, go to a whole in the ground which has a skultulla. kill it, and throw a boomerang at it. Before it goes back to you, backflip into the thing that sends you back to the surface. You will have still received the skultulla, and when you go back down it is still there.
Get The Castle Grounds Man Mad To get the Castle Grounds Man annoyed with you, fire your slingshot through the window at the potted plant. If you are a good shot and you break it, The grounds man will come out and throw a bomb at you and start yelling.
By Fingers McGraw - Slip Right Through His Fingers This is a tip for when you're fighting Ganon (not Ganondorf). As you know if you've fought him before, you have to hit his tail to do damage to him. To get to his tail though you usually have to stun him. You can do this if you want but a quicker way is this: Have you notice the gap between those legs. Simply roll through them and take a swipe at his tail. Most times when you do this Ganon will be to busy trying to hit the spot where you were before with his swords.
By Fingers McGraw - Long Range Archery Practice Are your bow 'n' arrow skills not quite up to scratch? A good way to get some good practice goes as thus: First make sure that you DON'T have the Gerudo Membership Card. The next step is easy: simply walk up to those nice guards and they'll throw you in jail (a small type room with no furniture which is nice). Using your Hookshot hook up to the window above you and then you will have a great view of all of Gerudo Fortress. Look down and you will see those lovely guards again. Take out your bow and start your training. The great thing about this is that, unlike normal enemies, the guards are only stunned so they can get back up again, just in time for you to take your second shot at them.
Cucco: Its Whats For Dinner: If youve tried Talons Find The Special Cuccos! mini-game as Kid Link, you know its a bit of a stumper. Well, to help you out, heres a tip: Before talking to Talon, chuck all of the Cuccos in the room in the tight space between the table and the stairs. Then, talk to Talon. Hell spread the Special Cuccos around and theyll be almost too easy to catch.
Enter: Woodblade: To get a Deku Stick as strong as the Kokiri Sword (and just as un-breakable), equip your Deku Sticks to a C-Button and pull one out. Then, jump off a cliff (or something similar) and break the stick on the way down. The remainder of it will work as your very own bludgeoning (Yeah, thats a word. Look it up.) club, to use as you see fit. ote: If you leave an area, go underwater or switch items, the club will disappear, and youll have to repeat the trick to get it back.
"Swordless Link" Tricks The following tricks work only on earlier versions of the game. But try them just incase. Do the Master Trick and then try all the others. Unfortunately, as I have a later version of the game (I don't know quite how, it was bought a week after release), I can't validate any of the following tricks, so use them at your own risk.
Master Trick (Must be done before all others) In the final fight with Ganon, wait for him to smack away your Master Sword outside the ring of fire. When you no longer have it, save your game and reset. Play your saved game again and without your sword and you will have a Deku Stick (warning, don't press B to swing the Deku Stick as the game will crash).
Purple Mist Go to Hyrule Field during the day and get on Epona (call her with your Ocarina if you need to). Then ride to Lon Lon Ranch and take up the obstacle course. Dismount Epona and play the Song Of Storms. Enjoy!
Epona Tricks By Fingers McGraw - Nimble As A Cat If you go into the Gerudo Horse Archery training bit after you've got the member's card, ride down to the end of the course. Now you should have observed, if you've played this mini-game before, that there is a long fence in front of the bottles and the 3 large targets. Line Epona up with this so she's facing it long ways i.e. the thin end. You'll need to be a good bit away from it but not too far. Ride up to it at full speed and Epona will jump onto the fence just like a cat. Magic! However although it is possible to get down, it took me a long time, so if you are going to do this save it first so you can restart.
By Fingers McGraw - Epona The Invincible Go to Lon Lon Ranch with Epona and go into the bit where all the horses are during the day. There are two metal fences if I remember correctly. Ride Epona slowly up to the larger gate so her head is just leaning over it. Dismount and watch her for a while. She will rear up on her hind legs and then come down and guess what! Her head goes through the fence! Please note you will get more amusing effects if you put her head over one of the spikes coming out of the fence. Amazing! Is there anything this horse can't do?
Chase Epona When you are little Link, and you have done all the dungeon's of big Link (I think that they are the conditions anyway, try earlier though.), go to Lon Lon Ranch and go to Malon. Speak to her and if she says that 'Epona has taken a shine to you.' then it means that you can chase her around the field.
Epona's Destructive Habits If you are riding Epona, then you might like to try to run into a sign. If done correctly, Epona kicks the sign to pieces on your way past. You can play Zelda's Lullaby to have it reform in front of your eyes.
Epona Likes Items As Long As You Are Not Armed It seems like the only thing stopping you from using any weapon while you are on Epona is the fact that you have The Master Sword. To be rid of it, all you have to do is fight Ganon up until the bit where he knocks your sword away and then save. Then saddle up Epona, so to speak. There are many different tricks you can pull while on her, here are a few. If you use either the Ocarina Of Time or Deku Nuts while on Epona, you shall dismount, but you then control both Link and Epona. If you take up the Lon Lon Racing Challenge, you can turn everything a purple color by playing your ocarina while riding. If you talk to Saria by playing Saria's song, you float a little way above Epona, and can ride like that anywhere. If you use Deku Nuts, then fire the Longshot, and then use Deku Nuts again, you can run around in first person view.
Hyrule Castle Bank Tricks By JusticeHammer - Master Trick (Must be done before all others) This is really quite annoying when you get half way and then fall. However, get higher and you're pretty much there. In the Hyrule Castle Grounds, where all the guards are, go to the sign that says 'Dead End' in orange writing (near the entrance to the Fairy Fountain, or a big boulder if you haven't blown it up yet). There is, to your left, a thin bank where the two polygons of the bank walls meet. Take a look at what the polygons look like from the side, as when you look at them dead on you can't tell there's much of a corner there. Now, walk very slowly up the meeting place of the two polygons (it will take a lot of time to get your technique right). After quite some time, you will possibly succeed in this task and end up on the grassy bank. There are a few things to do here.
By JusticeHammer - Freefalling If, after all your hard work, you feel like it, you can jump right off the edge and fall for absolutely ages. If your descent is taking too long, press B to do a sword jump attack to fall faster. I [SpikeyMatt] did this by accident, and it took me a long time to get back on the bank!
By JusticeHammer - Swimming in The Castle This isn't easy either, but try and follow the edge of the ridge (next to where you can jump off) until you get to the end of the ridge. Face the castle, and jump towards it as far as you can. If done correctly, you will be swimming in invisible water. You can swim back up and there's the possibility you'll die, but you can swim around the inside of the castle. To get out, you can swim into the moat (and get a secret blue rupee).
Majora's Mask Cheats:
Be Feirce Diety, anywhere! To wear the Fierce Deitys Mask out and about in Termina, first you must restart the three-day cycle with the Song Of Time. Then, put on the Bunny Hood, warp to the third day and go to Sakons hideout in Ikana Canyon. Once there, slow down time with the Inverted Song Of Time (C-Down, A, C-Right; C-Down, A, C-Right), go up to the right side of the boulder entrance and find the thin crack between the boulder and the mountain-side. Now, back away from that crack, run at it full-speed (with the Bunny Hood on) and roll into the crack. This may take several tries, but dont give up. Also, you might get through but fall into nothing. If that happens, dont worry. Your saved files and cartridge will be fine, just try again. Once inside, talk to Kafei (KEEP THE BUNNY HOOD ON!!! NEVER TAKE IT OFF!!!) The two of you will then start the race to get the Sun Mask. Early in the race, you will gain temporary control of Kafei. When you do, press Start and equip the Fierce Deitys Mask to whatever C-Button you have the Bunny Hood assigned to. (Link should still be wearing the Bunny Hood.) When you regain control of Link, hell put on the Fierce Deitys mask! Huzzah! Note: You must finish the race to use the mask outside. If you fail, you have to reset your N64. Also, if you go into Clock Town, you wont be able to leave. If you do go inside Clock Town, though, try to exit by passing by one of the guards guarding one of the exits. Apparently, youre too small to be allowed to leave, but youre taller than him. Ah, the irony.
Stone Mask Shenanigans We all know that if you wear the Stone Mask enemies can't see you. Well, the best bit about it is that neither can the Gerudo guards. So next time you try an infiltrate the base try donning the Stone Mask!
Kill Sakon - By Akash When he is stealing bombs on the first night from the old lady in North Clock Town, shoot an arrow at him and he will blow up. He won't appear in any of the three days following.
Free Bombs & Full Health. To use the Blast Mask (WITHOUT TAKING DAMAGE!), equip the Blast Mask, hold out your shield with R and press the C-Button you assigned to the mask to (while holding R). Done properly, you should take no damage.
Shoot The Innocents For Extra Time! If you play the target game at Honey & Darlings Shop in East Clock Town (only available on the third day), you can (temporarily) stop the clock by shooting them, making their talking take up the screen-space where the clock was!
Hard As A Cloud When you are in the final dungeon and you have turned it upside down, go to the first room (the one without a ceiling). You will find a couple of boxes in there. Pick one up and throw it down into the sky. Guess what! It breaks! Perhaps this parallel world called Termina is enclosed in some kind of dome or something... who knows.
The same thing can also happen when you're out on Termina field. Find a gossip stone and place a bomb at it. When it explodes the gossip stone will soar into the air. Keep watching it for a while even when you can no longer see it, and you will see an explosion as it hits the sky!
Link And His Pampered Pony Travel Abroad: To ride Epona inside Clock Town, start a game in the first file (either a brand-new or continued file) and save and quit at the Owl Statue in South Clock Town. Then, start a game in the second file (new or continued). Call Epona, hop on, and head for the Owl Statue on Milk Road. Save and quit there while still sitting on Epona. Now, start the first file again and youll be riding Epona in Clock Town! You can go anywhere in the small town, but youll have to dismount to enter buildings. If you do go in a building, though, youll lose Epona and have to go out to Termina Field to see her again. Shell also leave if leave town without her.
Snail Mail. Whod Have Thought It Would Have This Kind Of Power? To get an invisible Great Fairys Sword, go to any mailbox in Clock Town. When it asks you to deposit something, select the Great Fairys Sword, even though the mailbox declines it. Once you leave the mailbox, itll look like Links still holding the sword, even though theres nothing there! You can still cut things with it and use it like normal, but now its invisible! Note: If you go to another area or switch items, the sword will reappear.
Breaking And Entering There is a way to enter thief Sakon's Hideout whenever you feel like screwing over this evil mastermind. By doing this, you may just fall through the floor, or reappear from the last entrance that you came from, but done right you will get in. On the right hand side of the rock that is guarding there is a crack, and if you roll at the right angle into it the chances are that you go into his hideout. You can try the mini 'game' but you can only get as far as Kafei's second room.
Fix Broken Signs To fix any signs you may have 'accidentally' destroyed, play the Song Of Healing next to them.
Hurt Kafei But yes, there is a catch. It's Kafei on Day 1 morning. Have you noticed that weird person wearing the keaton mask in the morning who posts the letter? Well that's Kafei. If you are feeling particularly spiteful run up to him anytime when he is on his rounds in the morning with the Blast Mask and blow up next to him. I haven't been able to kill him yet, however. Damn.
Ocarcle of Ages Cheats
By Fingers McGraw - Quick Explosives If you're running out of bombs a quick and easy way to fill up your bomb bag is this: In the present go to the witch's hut (place where you buy magic potion). There is a bush outside her hut which always has some bombs in it. Simply cut the bush, go into the hut, come out and cut the bush again. Continue this until your bombs are at max.
Well, not so much the tricks part, but here are all the secrets littered about Ages, for a linked game with Seasons.
By Link_2K
1. After you get through the Skull Dungeon go back to Lynna City and go to the Ember Seed tree below the shop. There you'll find some old woman who gives you a secret to take to a hidden area behind the Horon Village Clock shop in Seasons. In Seasons, go to the far right corner of the back side of the Horon Village Clock shop and dig with your shovel. There you should find a staircase. Go down and you'll see another person who asks you for the secret you got from the old lady in Ages. Give it to that person and you'll proceed to play a very, very easy minigame. The prize? If you have the Noble Sword already, you'll get the Master Sword! If not you get the Noble Sword, either way you a get a level-up on your current sword. After you get this upgrade you'll get a password you can take to Farore (situated in the cave on the side of the Maku Tree) in Ages to receive a level-up on your current sword in Ages too.
2. Once you clear the Wing Dungeon in the past of Ages go back to the Western Woods in the present and go to the Wing Dungeon that you earlier destroyed. You should see a Great Fairy there who will give you a secret to take to Seasons. In Seasons, go to the Temple of Seasons in Subrosia and proceed through the waterfall at the end of the temple to meet another Great Fairy who asks you for the secret from the Great Fairy in Ages. If you tell her the secret, she'll give the Level Two Heart Ring. After getting it appraised by Vasu you can add it to your list and get a password from Red Snake that you can take to the Red Snake in Ages to receive the same ring.
3. Also after the Wing Dungeon (or after you get Roc's Feather and exit the Wing Dungeon) go one screen below where the Piece of Heart is by the Black Tower entrance (this location is hard to describe without a gridded map so bare with me). There you'll find a girl on the other side of the pits who gives you a secret to take to the now dead pirates who washed up in Subrosia in Seasons. Take that secret to the pirate by the table on the top floor of the pirates hide-out in Subrosia and he'll send you to get 777 pieces of ore. You can do this quickly and easily by using your shovel to dig up ore on the beach but be careful of those flame-cat thingys that come out of the sand every so often. Once you have EXACTLY 777 pieces of ore go back to the pirate and he'll upgrade your Bomb-Bag and give you a password you can take to Farore in Ages for a Bomb-Bag upgrade in your Ages game too.
4. After you finish the Spirit's Grave in Ages go over to the ghost now by Syrup's Magic Potion Shop in Yoll Graveyard and he'll give you a secret to take to the graveyard by the Explorers Crypt Dungeon in Seasons. Once at the graveyard (in Seasons) go to the grave without any flowers (it's above where the vines grow in Summer) and dig behind it to reveal a staircase with another ghost waiting below. Tell him the secret you got from the ghost in Ages and he'll challenge you to a ghost-counting minigame. Once you win at this minigame, he'll give you an extra Heart Container and a secret to take to Farore in Ages so that you can have that extra Heart Container there too!
5. In Labrynna's Present, go to the cave below and to the right of the cave that houses the Target Carts game (in Rolling Ridge - East). There you'll find a Subrosian who gives you a secret to take to your Seasons game. In Seasons, go to Subrosia and go to the cave above where you see three green Subrosians with towels on their heads bathing in lava. In that cave you'll find another Subrosian (surprise, surprise) who asks you for a secret. Give him the secret you got from the Subrosian at Rolling Ridge - East in Ages and he'll give you a seemingly small, but really quite difficult, task. You must cut away all the grass in the cave with three throws of your Magic Boomerang. This takes a skilled hands, or, more specifically, a skilled couple of thumbs. After completing this objective, the Subrosians will give you Bombchus and a secret you can take to Farore in Ages to receive Bombchus in your Ages game too.
6.After completing the Wing Dungeon in Ages, go to the mayor's house in Lynna City (Labrynna's Present) and talk to the old woman there. She'll give you a secret to take to the mayor of Horon Village in Seasons. In Seasons, go to the mayor's house and give the mayor the secret you got from the old woman in the mayor's house in Ages and he'll upgrade your Ring Box by one level allowing you to carry two more Rings at a time. He'll also give you a secret which you can take to Farore in Ages for a Ring Box upgrade of one level in your Ages game.
7. If you go to the Mystery Seed tree by Rolling Ridge -East in Labrynna's Past, you'll find yet another Subrosian. He'll give you a secret to take to the Subrosian smithy in Seasons. Once in Seasons, go to the smithy in Subrosia and give the guy at the counter the secret you got from the Subrosian by the Mystery Seed tree in Ages and he'll get the guys in the back working on a shield upgrade. Once they're done, your sheild will be upgraded by one level and you'll get a secret to take to Farore in Ages to get a one level sheild upgrade in your Ages game too.
8. At anytime, go to the Western Woods (where the fairies are in the Present) in the Past and go to where there would be a Gasha Tree planting spot in the Present (by the Zora's Sea). There (in the Past) you should find a Deku Scrub hiding under a bush by the top of the screen. Talk to him to get a secret for Seasons. In Seasons, go to Sunken City and make your way (from the western entrance/exit by the little girl who blows bubbles) north then west past the Great Moblin's castle and, from the two trees at the end of the castle, go south until you reach a cluster of six bushes to your left. Count them down and continue left and go in the cave on the next screen. In the cave you'll meet another Deku Scrub. Give him the secret you got from the Western Woods Deku Scrub in Ages and he'll tell you to fill your Seed Satchel to the maximum if it isn't already. This is very annoying, but to help you out, here's how the Seed trees work: Ember Seed trees have Ember Seeds in Winter, Gale Seed trees in Summer, Pegasus Seed trees in Fall, Mystery Seed trees in summer, and Scent Seed trees in Spring. Just use your Gale Seeds to go from tree to tree and worry about them (the Gale Seeds) later. Once you've filled your Seed Satchel, go back to the Deku Scrub in the cave by Sunken City and give him the secret again. If your Seed Satchel is filled, he'll upgrade by one level, allowing you to carry more seeds. If your maximum was 20, you'll be able to carry 50, if your maximum was 50, you'll be able to carry 99. You'll also get a secret you can take back to Farore in Ages to get a Seed Satchel upgrade in your Ages game.

Attack Of The Killer Cuccos If, for some reason, you decide to vent your anger on some sort of innocent and just get more pissed that your sword cant hit villagers, you might attack some innocent Cuccos. Attack Of The 50-Foot Cucco If you feel like taking on an even bigger Cucco, just sprinkle a Mystery Seed on a normal Cucco while the Cucco Revenge Squad are there. Attack him and he will chase after you, so you had better run! Walkthroughs
